Playing With Toy Cars

Okay, while I am grateful that I’m finally in driving course, that I am finally getting somewhere, and that I’m learning something useful, it really is getting quite tiring. Seriously, I’m exhausted with the whole thing. Well, I suppose it does beat doing absolutely nothing...

Right, so what’s up? Let’s see, I’ve progressed from the Land Rover to the 3-Tonner (Cool! I’m King of the Road!). In terms of theory, I failed my HSP test (bummer...). Other than that, I can safely say that Driving Course is doing alright...

With weekends so short nowadays, I still have lots to do when I get back home. Weekends have become bloody tiring but they’re still fun, especially when you get to catch up with people on the OUTSIDE....haha...I still, from the time I enlisted till now, find it rather difficult to switch between life in camp and civilian life on weekends. It’s odd to see people walking around aimlessly, not marching....weird...But by the time I get re-adjusted to NORMAL life, it’s time to book in again.

Right, I probably should get going now, since I gotta prepare for book in...Seriously, I need to start blogging slightly earlier- then my posts won’t be so short....

The Reset Button

Great. A few more hours to book in. Again. I survive five and a half days of the week, fighting desperately to return to the comforts of home, only to find myself facing a whole new week. Less than one and a half days at home: sure, I treasure my weekends a whole lot more, but this getting ridiculous...

On a brighter note, at least I’m getting somewhere- I can safely say I’m getting better at driving the Land Rover. And, I’ve started reading again! Wow! Reading! How I used to lust for the pleasure of words....Okay...

Crap. Gotta go. Again. I promise- the next post will be longer. Haha...

Operation Reboot

Hey there! It’s been a while. Okay, a LONG while. Never mind... I’ve got a bout 4 hours left before I book-in to camp, so this has to be short.

Right, so where to start? It’s been slightly more than a year since the last post, and so much has happened, or not happened, or should have happened but did not. I’ve finished my A Levels (with lacklustre results), gone through BMT, and have been posted to the 1st Transport Battalion.

Thus far, it has been 2 and a half months of pure stagnation – a period of absolute, uninterrupted, mind numbing, soul freezing stagnation. I quite literally did NOTHING...Now, or at least a few days ago, I started driving course. I would like to tell you how exciting it is, except I’m haven’t the time nor the energy (Mwahaha...perhaps another time..). Anyway, life is pretty much starting up again.

Right, gotta go start another week in camp...See you next week!

P.S.: I’ll flesh out the details next week, if I make it out of camp...
